The West Hempstead Fire Department is holding an election for one fire commissioner seat on Dec. 14, 2021.
The vote will be held from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Fire Headquarters Building located at 295 Hempstead Turnpike.
A fire commissioner oversees services for a specific area. The term for a fire commissioner is five years.
