From daily swimming to learning how to dive, Echo Park Pool has some exciting events coming up over the next few months.
The pool is open to Town of Hempstead residents seven days a week. There are special lap swimming periods every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Residents eight years of age and older can join the Learn to Dive program. Dive classes must have a minimum of six people. Online registration begins Jan. 31 at 9 a.m. and ends on Feb. 1 at 10 p.m. Click here to register online. The program will be held from Feb. 7 to April 10. Cost for the program is $53.40.
The pool is also hosting Lifeguard Job Interviews for people ages 16 and over on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Dates include April 30, May 7, May 14 and May 21.
There’s also an American Red Cross Blended Learning Lifeguard Training for anyone over the age of 15. Online registration begins Jan. 31 at 9 a.m. and ends on Feb. 1 at 10 p.m. Classes will be held from Feb. 8 to April 10. Cost for the program is $250.
