Police say a 17-year-old was responsible for cleaning out the register at Millennium Dry Cleaners on Hempstead Turnpike on Oct. 25 and have charged the suspect with robbery. His name was not disclosed.
The teen is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday, Oct. 26 in First District Court, the Nassau Herald reported.

Several residents on social media said police were seen searching backyards on the vicinity of Poplar and Sycamore streets. The suspect remains at large as of Tuesday morning.
The Nassau County Police Department’s Major Case Bureau is investigating a the incident, which took place at 4:46 pm.
The robbery squad detectives reported in a statement that, “an unknown male subject entered the Millennium Dry Cleaners, located at 323 Hempstead Turnpike. The subject walked behind the counter and displayed a handgun while demanding cash. The victim complied and the subject fled on foot in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of US currency.”
Cops said there were two employees, and no customers present inside the location at the time of the robbery. No injuries were reported.
The subject is described as a male Hispanic, approximately 5’10”-5’11” tall, wearing a black hoodie and black mask.
