A deluge of rain and street flooding couldn’t stop the party! Over 240 guests came out during the past weekend’s storm to Plattduetsche Park Restaurant and Catering Hall in neighboring Franklin Square to celebrate the ‘All Year’ West Hempstead High School reunion.
Charles “Karl” Riesterer, whose family’s bakery Riesterer’s has been a landmark in West Hempstead for over 92 years, helped organize this great event. Karl was also part of the first graduating class. And of course he brought the cake too!
