You can’t always get what you want …. but if you want great classic rock close to home, local nightspot G’s delivered on a recent Saturday night, with the Rolling Stones tribute band Let it Bleed.
“Satisfaction” was guaranteed as the Long Island-based band played to a packed house (including the Echo) at the club at 157 Hempstead Avenue with such classics as Jumpin’ Jack Flash, Wild Horses, Honky Tonk Woman, She’s a Rainbow, and Gimme Shelter, fronted by lead singer John Marino. Vocalist Raecene Coles joined the band for the soulful solo in “Gimmer Shelter” (video below).
The Echo was impressed with the authentic vocals and stirring instruments.
The band takes its name from the band’s 10th studio album in 1968. Guests paid a $10 cover charge, with the option of a $15 ticket with first drink included.
Lots more live music planned at the locally owned club and the Echo will keep you posted
