This year’s West Hempstead Memorial Day parade will take place Monday May 29th starting at 10am at the St Thomas Church parking lot at 875 Hempstead Avenue. The parade will head down Hempstead Avenue for 1.4 miles to Woodlawn Rd. where it ends at the American Legion Hall at 233 Woodlawn Rd.
West Hempstead residents are urged to come and view the parade and show their support for our American troops both past and present.

Norm interviews local resident Joe Varon, environmentalist and longtime social advocate for West Hempstead’s annual Memorial Day Parade. The march will take place on Monday, May 30 and run from the parking lot at St. Thomas the Apostle church near Hall’s Pond park up to the American Legion Hall on Woodlawn Road starting at 10am.
