Nassau County police have apprehended the man wanted in connection to an attempted break at Anshei Shalom, according to synagogue leaders.
The synagogue says at the time of the incident police responded swiftly and established that the building was secure and had not been entered.
Leaders say they worked with detectives on the investigation.
The synagogue reminds everyone that the doors should always remain locked when there is no security onsite.
Security footage captured the damage to the shul’s glass door and a photo of the person who was seen on the property at the time of the incident.
The suspect was arraigned on charges.
The synagogue thanks all the security volunteers for all they do to keep everyone safe.
