Hurricane Debby made landfall on Florida’s Big Bend early Monday morning, bringing heavy rainfall, strong winds, and life-threatening storm surges. As a Category 1 storm, Debby has already caused significant flooding and damage, particularly in Sarasota and Manatee counties, where 14-18 inches of rain have been reported . The storm is now moving northeast, expected to affect coastal Georgia and South Carolina with potentially catastrophic rainfall. Forecasts predict 16-20 inches of rain, with some areas possibly receiving up to 30 inches, which could break regional precipitation records
