Republican Bruce Blakeman was sworn in to office Monday as the new Nassau County executive.
Blakeman defeated Democratic incumbent Laura Curran in November. The ceremony was held at the Cradle of Aviation Museum in Garden City.
Blakeman has vowed to push back on the state’s COVID-19 mandates now that he’s in office.
