Volunteers of all ages joined together this past Sunday morning between 9 am to 1 pm at Hall’s Pond for a cleanup project sponsored by the West Hempstead Community Support Association. The event was well attended with helping hands ranging from small children to senior citizens.
Volunteers scoured the park including the stream bed, the fence areas and around the pond itself. A significant amount of trash was collected. A feeling of accomplishment by helping maintain our precious public space and enhance its natural beauty was shared by all.
