Workers have been seen making repairs the past few days to the tinted-windows of the indoor pool roof at Echo Park Pool. This welcome sign, however, is still not an indication that the pool will reopen any time soon.
Don Clavin, in an interview with The Echo on September 6th, stated that the pool would reopen by October 1st. (See Below) That target date looks unrealistic with still no word on the filtration system installation. With that being said, we are encouraged that the roof work is a sign of forward progress.
The Echo Pool renovation work has kept West Hempsteaders out of the water for far too long.
