High temperatures and a sense of spring just over the horizon led many local residents to Hempstead Lake Park, one of our town’s outdoor gems, for barbecues, kayaking, fishing or just relaxing with the family and/or dogs. The day’s high was 69 degrees, but don’t get complacent: winter isn’t quite done with us, with cold and rain in the forecast for the week.
