A West Hempstead man has been charged in a fatal crash that killed a 15-year-old in Woodmere, police say.
According to police, Arlin Javier Aguilera, was driving a Dodge pickup truck Saturday night northbound on Peninsula Boulevard at the time of the crash. An Audi SUV carrying five passengers was turning southbound onto Peninsula Boulevard when the crash happened.
A 15-year-old girl was pronounced dead at the hospital. The driver of the Audi was critically injured in the accident.
Aguilera was charged with vehicular manslaughter, vehicular assault and DWI. He was arraigned on Sunday at First District Court in Hempstead.
