An elderly woman was killed by a vehicle Tuesday morning while crossing Cornwell Avenue at the intersection of Wildwood Road. She was fatally struck by a 2019 Hyundai SUV. The 19-year-old male driver stayed at the scene. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene by police medics.
The WHUFS sent out a recorded message Tuesday morning alerting parents, students and faculty of road and parking closures around the Cornwell Avenue Elementary School.
Police are investigating.
