📺 WEST HEMPSTEAD COMMUNITY NEWSCAST RUNDOWN — APRIL 30, 2025
🎉 LEAD STORY: Heritage Westminster Tops Off!
Under bright blue skies, hundreds gathered to mark a huge milestone at the Heritage Westminster development. 400 construction workers were treated to lunch as Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman joined local leaders and neighbors to celebrate the Topping Off ceremony at the luxury complex rising from the site of the former Wholesale Liquidators.
A tour revealed amenities like a pool and pickleball court, and Heatherwood Owner Douglas Partrick confirmed some units will include two sinks and Shabbos elevators to accommodate Orthodox Jewish residents. The project is ahead of schedule and expects to welcome residents by September 2026.
Echo was on site and interviewed both Partrick and Heatherwood President Christopher Capece — that feature airs next week!
🏫 SCHOOL BOARD RACES & BUDGET PRESSURES
West Hempstead’s own Alan Skorski is running for school board, aiming to bring an end to long-standing contention. He’s running for the seat currently held by Burt Blass.
