The West Hempstead School District is helping the community this summer by offering free meals.
The district’s social media page states that it has partnered with the Lawrence School District to provide meals to the community beginning July 6. The meals will be offered at no cost to children 18 and under who live in West Hempstead. All meals provided will be kosher.
Meals will be distributed in bulk once a week on Tuesdays from 4-7 p.m. at Chestnut Street School.
Anyone interested must register each week in order to pick up meals.
